The Cherokee FURY organization is proud to announce their partnership with SCRA !!!.
SCRA will now be the home of Cherokee FURY Travel Baseball. The Cherokee FURY organization is excited about the opportunity
to partner with SCRA in building a great playing field and experience for players in the area.
***UPDATE***
(2/21/12) The field is now complete with a grass infield (10 pallets of sod), brick dust/field pro dirt mixture and chain
link fencing. Great job parents and volunteers who turned this from a "plain jane" field into a top notch
playing venue !!!

University of Georgia running back and NFL player MUSA SMITH Joins the CHEROKEE FURY PROGRAM:
Cherokee FURY welcomes our newest coach, Musa Smith,
former Baltimore Raven and University of Georgia standout. Musa will be filling the role of strength and conditioning
coach for the program. Musa will be working out of our winter satellite indoor facility, Cherokee Indoor Batting
Range. Everyone at Cherokee FURY welcomes Musa to the team !!!
FURY
LEGION COMPLETES INCREDIBLE FALL CAMPAIGN WITH DOMINATION OF EAST COBB in the Sandy Plains Diamond Duel.
Cherokee FURY Legion completed it's fall season
this weekend at the Sandy Plains Diamond Duel at Lassiter High School. FURY Legion went 5-0 in the tournament and won
its 4th tournament of the year. FURY Legion had two wins over the East Cobb Rangers and single game wins over the Cherokee
FURY Blue, the East Cobb Braves and the Cobb Aces in route to the championship.
During the fall campaign,
FURY Legion had an overall record of 21-3-2 with 4 tournament wins and 1 runner-up finish and will
begin the spring as a contender in the USSSA (AAA) division.
CHEROKEE
FURY BLUE WINS 14-U AAA/Major Tournament in Smyrna!
Cherokee FURY Blue took the field this weekend with its full team in place for only the 2nd time this fall.
Taking advantage of this, FURY Blue won two games on Sunday in route to a tournament win.
FURY Blue went
1-1 in pool play on Saturday and was seeded #2 going into Sunday's bracket play. FURY Blue won its opening game
on Sunday 9-1 vs. Cecil Fielder's KnockHouse Saints / DoubleDay baseball. This set up a tournament final game with
the #1 seeded Marietta Clutch (14-Maj). The finals featured one of the best 14U games of the year with each team holding
the other scoreless for 9 innings. In the 10th FURY Blue held the Clutch in their half of the 10th and Cameron Johnson
scored the winning run in the bottom half of the 10th to complete FURY Blue's first shut out of the year. Hunter
Gaddis threw a 104 pitch / 10 inning / 2-hit shut out for the win.
Cherokee FURY Legion wins again Pushes record to 15-1-1 this fall
The incredible wining
streak continued this weekend for the Cherokee FURY Legion team as they went 5-0 and ran the bracket in the USSSA "Champs
Wear the Rings" tournament in Cumming, GA. FURY Legion went 2-0 in pool play on Saturday dismantling the North Gwinett
Bulldogs 10-0 and the Parkview Panthers 8-3. Seeded #1 on Sunday, FURY Legion played two close games with the Collins
Hill Eagles and Coal Mountain Raiders winning both with solid defense and timely hitting. The finals featured
an offensive explosion by FURY Legion scoring 5-times on the Georgia Spartans in the first inning. FURY added
5 more in the 5th to close out the game 10-4 and take their record to 13-0 in three USSSA tournament events
this year.

Wins USSSA Top Dawg Classic
Cherokee FURY Gold took the field this weekend for the first time with its full compliment of players and
they didn't disappoint in winning the USSSA Top Dawg Classic in Conyers, GA.
FURY Gold opened Saturday's pool
play with an offensive barrage, scoring 16 runs on 19 hits in a three inning demolition of the Georgia Dirt Dawgz.
Jack Ryan, Matthew Ridgeway, Noah Stepenson and Dylan Farmer led the way with multiple base hits. The second pool
play game started rough with multiple errors in the field and FURY Gold found itself down 8-2 at the end of the second inning.
Noah Jones and Tyler Whitfield came in and shut the door the rest of the way and FURY Gold scored 5 runs in the bottom of
the 7th and had the bases loaded before falling to the eventual #1 seed Berkeley Red Sox 8-7.
Seeded 2nd overall,
FURY Gold won its first bracket play game over Morgan County 10-3. Luke Smith threw the first three innings and struck
out 7 of the 9 batters he faced. Zach Porter closed the game and FURY moved on to the Semi-finals. Brock Thompson
and Chandler Lanier provided hits to lead the offense.
The Semi final game featured a pitching gem by Tony Wineman.
Tony held the Stephenson Jaquars to 2-runs over 6 innings and Luke Smith came in and got the final three outs to give FURY
the win 5-2. Brock Thompson led the offense with three hits and 4 RBI's and defensively threw out 5 baserunners.
The finals featured a rematch of Saturday's 2nd pool play game between FURY Gold and the Berkeley Red Sox.
FURY Gold scored early and held a 4-3 lead into the 4th inning behind the pitching of Luke Smith and the
defensive play of the day from Dylan Farmer at second base. Noah Jones came to the mound in the 5th and 6th
and protected the slim lead getting through the heart of the Berkeley lineup in the 6th. In the 7th,
FURY Gold loaded the bases on hits from Jack Ryan, Zach Porter and a walk from Chandler Lanier and Matthew Ridgeway delivered
and clutch 2-out 300 foot triple to the left-center field gap to score 3 runs and put FURY Gold ahead for good. Tyler
Ridgeway came in and slammed the door in the 7th to give FURY Gold the tournament championship. FURY LEGION RANKED
#1 in the Nation at 14U !!

5-0 weekend and a 3rd tournament victory, Cherokee FURY Legion remains at the top of the latest USSSA Power Rankings
at 14U and #1 in Georgia in the USSSA Coaches Poll.
